The girl’s name is Jin Mi.
Four thousand years later, the Heavenly Emperor’s second son, the Phoenix Fire Deity was entrapped by someone and mistakenly entered Shui Jing. He was saved by the ignorant Jin Mi. After living together for a hundred years, the Fire Deity gradually developed feelings for Jin Mi. Who would have thought that he would be attracted to Jin Mi?

Hello all,

It's finally here: my version of the epub/pdf for Heavy Sweetness, Ash-like Frost, or as it's more well known now due to the drama that came out last year, Ashes of Love.

I'm going to be honest, doing this novel in particular has been a major pain in the ass. It's hard for me to find good quality images related to the novel that aren't related to the drama. I was unsuccessful in the end, it's quite unfortunate that it's so hard to find good artwork for a lot of c-novels. I could make covers myself, somewhat similar to what I did for Release that Witch, but it's hard for me to capture this style.

To me, it's always difficult to adjust my work around those of various translators. Decembi, from One Second Spring, for instance, likes to write a lot of translators notes and their own thoughts on many points of the story. I've done my best to remove a lot of the running commentary to leave in only the strictly necessary translation notes when available, however, I still feel that it's a very different experience to read the work on the original blog (and would highly recommend it).

As for the reason this has been so delayed, it's because of lack of motivation. However, I've found the need to re-familiarize myself with Adobe InDesign recently, so I might be back at this again.

If there are any novels (for c-novels, I would prefer them to be completed; though this is not strictly necessary as I have done ongoing novels in the past) that anyone would like to request I take a crack at, please let me know. I'm currently looking at Kusuriya no Hitorigoto and Common Sense of a Duke's Daughter as options. This would be similar to my current situation: very slow releases. If you're not okay with that, just go read on the original website or download epubs from someone else who has more time/money to dedicate to the cause. What killed my motivation last time was the ready availability of epubs for Qidian novels, done by a bot.

I'm still unsure of updating my TKA and RTW files. I haven't kept up with these series at all.

signing off,
-ashe.
